Why I am writing
Insight. For
over a year now I have been wondering: “In what direction are the large
corporations going?”.
I am
53 years old, an accountant, economist, having worked for 38 years in
which over 30 of those years I worked for multinational companies, during 20
years I was an auditor and for the previous 13 years I worked in the business
area with international activity, all the while I have been constantly
questioning myself:
“In
what direction are the multinational corporations (or some of them) going?”
I am
in contact with many executives working at the largest companies in the world
and what I have heard from most of them, or seen from my own experience are the
same problems, which are:
- Lack of time
- Lack of experienced support
- Everyone is stressed
- These companies are struggling to provide customer service in a swift or adequate manner.
From
my standpoint, I believe that many companies are deteriorating, on account of
inadequate control mechanisms and incorrect or weak information, and I have
questioned myself:
Why?
Because
of these questions I wonder: Up to what point is my insight correct? I began to
select articles (since January/02) written by world-renowned professionals, to
provide support for my ideas, views and particularly, my insight, i.e., that of
an anonymous executive, albeit, one that tries to be alert in relation to the
future or at least speculates on what may happen in the next few years.
